Potential Wright City High School Student Council members had the opportunity to attend a town hall meeting at Southeastern State University Campus in Idabel.
United States Senator James Lankford spoke and took questions.
Our own Laci Pendergraff ask Senator Lankford to explain what is being done regarding cyber-security to safe guard our elections. Lankford replied that coordination between state election officials and Homeland Security was being initiated. This process allows state officials to be informed by the national government regarding cyber-threats. He assured the guests that Oklahoma elections had not been compromised.
Senator Lankford ended the town hall meeting with a lasting message. He encouraged us as Oklahomans and Americans to foster a loving, tolerant, and accountable family. These measures he advised would be a great foundation for a new America.
