Story image 1_0

Laci Pendergraff, a junior at Wright City high school, has been placed on the Oklahoma FCCLA ballot for a state officer. After submitting a detailed application, Laci was selected for the first round of interviews on the morning of January 15. That afternoon she participated in a five-panel judge interview to see if she would be placed on the ballot. She successfully made it past round two and her name is now placed on the 2019 ballot for state officer. There were approximately 40 students who interviewed in the first round, 20 in the second round, and twelve placed on the ballot. Laci is a candidate at large and Oklahoma FCCLA Chapters, representing about 3000 student members, will vote in late March. The 2019-20 State Executive Council will be announced during the closing ceremony of the Oklahoma State FCCLA Convention to be held on April 4.
